Questions & Answers

Q: Do you still offer mobile service?

A: Yes, I can perform the Express Services on site (weather permitting). Scheduling for all other services is done in my convenient, fully-equipped shop. Ask about pick-up/ delivery service (select areas).

Q: What is IDA Certified and what is the IDA?

A: The CD designation is a great achievement and demonstrates a basic mastery of the knowledge and applied skills needed by the detailing professional. The pride of earning the CD designation places that detailing professional among a group at the top of their profession. Although certification is somewhat costly and requires a sustained commitment, it has many benefits for detailers and their customers. CDs have not only demonstrated competency, but they have shown determination and commitment in completing the certification process. They are typically dedicated individuals who believe strongly in improving themselves and their profession. The International Detailing Association is the leading industry association for professional detailing operators, suppliers, and consultants to the industry. The association is dedicated to promoting the value of professional detailing services, the recognition of professional detailing as a trade, and empowering detailing industry professionals at each stage in their career.

Q: Do you offer gift cards?

A: Yes, I now offer gift certificates in any amount. Perfect for all occasions!

Q: My headlights are clouded badly, is there anything you can do about this?

A: Yes! Regardless of which "quick fix" you may have heard of (spraying bug repellent or cooking spray on them or even polishing with toothpaste) none of which really work, I have the real fix. I first remove all oxidization, polish the lens and coat it with a UV inhibitor clear-coat to seal and protect from future oxidizing. This adds so much to the appearance and value of the vehicle while costing only a fraction of a replacement lens.

Q: I notice fine scratches and swirls on my car in the sunlight. What is that from?

A: Most commonly these are caused by "normal" washing conditions at the drive-thru car wash. Unfortunately most car washes use mechanical brushes which contact your finish and cause a micro-marring effect. Another common cause is the towels that are used to dry your vehicle when exiting the car wash. Consider how many cars that same towel dried before yours, picking up more and more dirt each time. I take many precautions not to induce scratches and swirls into your paint. In most cases I can greatly reduce or even eliminate ones you may already have!

Q: What is steam cleaning and how do you use it to detail my car?

A: This sets my services apart. I utilize the cleaning and disinfecting power of hot dry-vapor steam. My commercial grade machine creates 320 degree dry-vapor which kills all germs, bacteria and viruses on contact. It is also used in tandem with our 210 degree extraction unit to lift many hard to treat stains. This process is very Eco-friendly and leaves your vehicle truly fresh and clean.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

A: For your convenience, I accept cash, checks and all major credit cards.

Q: Can you really play the guitar behind your head?

A: Yes, I have been known to do this on occasion.
